Greater Knapweed  (Centaurea scabiosa)

Description: 1-3 feet tall, grows in field or along roadside. It is poisonous, and used to treat ailments such as loss of appetite and sore throats, also used as an application for bruises and other injuries. It is a Perennial plant. It is said this flower can currently be found within 3 states in the United State, Connecticut, New Hampshire and North Dakota. While, now it is found in MA.
