Common Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
Description: 1-3 feet tall, grows in field or along roadside. Yarrow is a kind of herb, the flowering tops could be used to alleviate inflammation, reduce fevers, stimulate the appetite, and expelling toxins from the body by encouraging sweating. Yarrow also can help other plants nearby become more disease resistant. The genus name Achillea is named after Achilles, the Greek hero (Movie Troy). It is said that Achilles learnt Herbology from the centaur Chiron and used Yarrow to stop the bleeding of the warrior's wounds during the Trojan war.
